EMMA & MIKE | OAKLANDS | EAST YORKSHIRE | DRIFFIELD | JULY 4TH 2015

I do a lot of weddings with Vivienne Edge, either her helping me, or like this wedding, me helping her.

However, when Viv told me about this wedding, it really got my juices following.

I was at Fforest in Wales at a friends wedding, as a guest, almost a year to the day & ever since have wanted to shoot at a venue

like that, well, here, near Hull, is the Yorkshire equivalent – Oaklands.

I must say that although it was very overcast when I arrived I still wasn’t disappointed & was really looking forward to

photographing here – sort of expected Led Zeppelin to be reformed & do whole lotta love for the first dance song!!! ha 😉

Loads of quirky, yet stylish details are what I LOVE at a wedding, and here at Oaklands, there was a few 😉

I arrived early, so decided to check out the venue, before visiting the lads – I’m glad I did, as some of them had had a heavy night! ha 😉

After the lads had gotten ready, it was a short walk from the cottages to Oaklands & the ceremony 😉

It was obviously nice enough to have outside too! – Bit too hot though, as we had to wait a few extra minutes for the bride! ha

 

After the gorgeous ceremony, we had chance to grab a few shots of the brilliantly apt wedding vehicles

& even had a bit of time with the bride & groom!

As the bride was a little late, we grabbed a few group shots during the day – no one minded though, as the sun was shining

and the venue was amazing!

After we managed to grab the gorgeous bride, Emma, for a couple of shots, it was time for the cake cut – before the cake melted!!

Then it was time for speeches 😉

There was fun & games throughout the day too! – Even the bride & groom had a go 😉

As the sunset, it created the perfect opportunity to steal Emma & Mike for some stunning sunset shots.

And finally, a first for me, as for many, an outdoor first dance, followed by sparklers.
