PRE WEDDING | MELANIE & JON | WORDEN PARK | LEYLAND | NOVEMBER 30TH 2019

As you can see, it was a cold, crisp morning on Worden Park, for Melanie & Jon’s pre wedding shoot.

But the one thing I love about these sort of mornings – especially if the sun’s shining, are the amazing colours 🙂

Really looking forward to shooting these two’s wedding in a couple of weeks, even more, now 🙂

CHARLOTTE & NEIL | ST ANDREW’S CHURCH | DENT | MEREWOOD COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL | WINDEREMERE | AUGUST 24TH 2019

It was already a gorgeous day, as I headed towards the small village of Dent, in Cumbria.

This was where the ceremony was to be held, but it was a tiny bit further, to Neil’s guest house, where Charlotte

& here bridesmaids were to be getting ready 🙂

Luckily, I didn’t have too far to go to see the groomsmen either, as Neil was at another farm, just down the road.

Then it was back down into Dent, to get parked up before seeing Charlotte & her dad walking into church, to meet Neil.

After the ceremony, we headed outside for a confetti shot and a few family shots.

Charlotte, Neil & myself had scoped out on their pre wedding shoot, a few places near to the church for a few

bride & groom portraits – fair play on Charlotte walking on those cobbles in heels! 😉

On the way to Merewood Country House Hotel, we decided to nip through the lake district, and

certainly, in my option, it was most definitely worth it – What an amazing location!

I arrived at Merewood, just before the bride & groom – How amazing are the views here too!

As everyone was relaxing outside in the glorious sunshine – I nipped inside to have a look at the

wedding breakfast room –  And it looked beautiful 🙂

A few more group shots, a dragonfly, and then I grabbed Charlotte & Neil for a few more portraits before

the wedding breakfast and speeches – I mean with these backdrops – it would have been rude not to! haha

And to be honest – these were some good speeches 🙂

It was back outside, after the speeches, as we just had to make the most of these amazing views, and the

setting sun – also, it was SO warm inside, everyone was glad of what little breeze there was! haha

Even managed to grab a beautiful silhouette sunset pic too! 🙂

After a bit of fun and games – it was time for the first dance.

PRE WEDDING | CHARLOTTE & NEIL | SEDBERGH | CUMBRIA | AUGUST 3RD 2019

As I set off the meet Charlotte & Neil, near their farm in Cumbria, there was an accident on the motorway,

which unfortunately meant I had to take some detours to get there … But with this scenery I wasn’t too bothered 😉

When I arrived, Charlotte & Neil told me that all their land, basically, that I could see, was Neil’s parents, so we had some areas for pics!

And boy those areas were beautiful!

After that we headed into Dent to see the Church where they’ll be getting wed in a few weeks time, and even found some

lovely places for some bridal portraits on the day too 🙂

ELLIE & ADAM | EDEN WEDDING BARN | LITTLE MUSGRAVE | KIRBY STEPHEN | JULY 21ST 2019

Ellie & Adam’s wedding was one, where I’d been invited along to second shoot, this time for Vivienne Edge Photography.

I nipped in to see the girls, first thing, but as Viv was more than capable, I was asked to go & see Adam & the guys.

It was my first time to Eden Wedding Barn, and even with the clouds rolling in, I must say, I was very impressed.

After I’d got a few images of Adam & the groomsmen, I had a wonder round the venue, to capture all the lovely little details 🙂

Followed by grabbing a few shots of some guests arriving.

As the bridesmaids had arrived, I knew it wouldn’t be too long before Ellie was arriving, so I got ready for her arrival.

As I was second shooting, I stood at the back of the room – to be honest, I sometimes prefer the shots I get at the back! ha

The clouds still looked pretty ominous, but we ventured outside, after the ceremony, for a confetti shot, and

whilst it was still staying dry, decided to do the bride & groom portraits before anything else 🙂

After we were happy with the portraits, I grabbed some candid shots of the guests, and we even managed a few group photos too.

Then it was time for, what turned out to be, some very funny speeches, followed by a few little games too.

We then grabbed Ellie & Adam, to take a few more portraits.

It was then time for the first dance 🙂

NATALIE & JAMIE | HULL MINSTER | WEST CARLTON COUNTRY GUEST HOUSE | HULL | JUNE 22ND 2019

Today, I was second shooting for Kerry Jones Photography, at West Carlton Country Guest House, before

heading with the groomsmen, to meet Kerry & the girls, at Hull Minster.

As I arrived a bit early, as the lads were eating breakfast, it gave me time to have a nosy round, and look at all the details,

inside & out, of this amazing tipi 🙂

So after breakfast, I managed to get a few shots of the groom, and his groomsmen, both before & after they had changed.

Then, as I mentioned earlier, it was time to head to Hull Minster, for the wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony, it was back to the guest house, for the food, speeches & party 🙂

As I was second shooting, I had plenty of time to mingle, to grab some candid shots.

Before, heading off for the bride & groom portraits.

Then, back inside, just in time, as the weather turned, for the speeches.

After the speeches, we took some more time away, with Natalie & Jamie, for some more gorgeous portraits.

After a few more portraits it was time for the first dance. This usually signals the end of the day, but we hadn’t finished photographing, just yet! …

As, the sun had re emerged, just in time, as it was happily, giving us a glorious sunset, which of course we had to make the most of 🙂

PRE WEDDING | SHELBY & ROB | AVENHAM PARK | PRESTON | JUNE 9TH 2019

Today was the first day I’d met rob, as he’s been off protecting our country 🙂

That’s why it was always going to be difficult to arrange a day to meet, especially as they both live down south! ha

But, luckily, the sun gods were out in force today, providing us with some gorgeous sunshine for their pre wedding shoot.

 

Even managed to photograph some wildlife too! ha

 

Really looking forward to these guys getting wed now! Just hope Rob makes it back on time! haha 😉

KATIE & NATHAN | ST JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH | LUND | SINGLETON LODGE | POULTON | MAY 25TH 2019

Its been a few weeks since I saw these two, on their pre wedding shoot in Kirkham,

but I knew then, that, no matter what, we’d make sure today was a good day! 🙂

The day started bright & sunny, with Katie & her bridesmaids.

After spending a bit with Katie, it was a 5 minute drive to meet Nathan & his brother.

Then, back just in time to catch Katie, getting into her dress & looking even more beautiful 🙂

It was then time to head to the church – just a short drive down the road.

When I arrived, I managed to grab a few shots of Nathan & the groomsmen, and a few of the guests too.

After a bit of a wait, Katie & her dad arrived, so it was time for the ceremony 🙂

After the ceremony, we managed to grab a few pics of Katie & Nathan, just outside the church,

followed by an amazing confetti shot 🙂

A few group shots, then off to Singleton Lodge 🙂

After arriving at Singleton Lodge, I had a look inside – it looked brilliant.

Despite the fact the rain had started to come, Katie & Nathan were more than up for some portraits outside 🙂

Even managed a bouquet toss & a few groups shots too, before it was time to head in for

the wedding breakfast & speeches.

Have to say, the next three images, of Katie & Nathan, are perhaps some of my favourite images of the day 🙂

A few more slightly more informal group shots after speeches and ….. the three well known faces of tequila! haha

And finally, the day finished with the cake cut, and an amazing first dance.

PRE WEDDING | KATIE & NATHAN | KIRKHAM | APRIL 7TH 2019

I met up with these two lovely people a few days ago, for their pre wedding shoot.

I don’t know Kirkham very well, but there was a nice little country lane, not far

from the couples house, so we made the most of that! 🙂

JEMMA & CHRIS | WEST TOWER | ORMSKIRK | MARCH 9TH 2019

It was bitterly cold and windy, last week on Jemma & Chris’ pre wedding shoot,

However, as I may have mentioned, I’ve known Jemma for many years, so knew this wouldn’t stop it being a great day.

Today, we started in a little B&B round the corner from West Tower, until the bridal suite was ready.

The girls had had a bit of a heavy one the night before, but soon were all laughter & smiles, getting ready for Jemma’s big day.

Once we arrived at West Tower, Jemma srated feeling a little nervous – There was only one thibg for it, she needed her man,

Chris – but how? I suggested a sort of first look, without the ‘look’ part. Holding Chris’ hand certainly made Jemma feel better & it

was onto the ceremony 🙂

Well, not before we’d managed to grab a few shots of the groomsmen & bridesmaids 🙂

Oh & a very touching moment between bride & her dad 🙂

What a wonderful ceremony it was too! There were taers, laughter, but most importantly smiles throughout the congregation 🙂

After the ceremony, Jemma & Chris braved the bitterly cold winds to grab some portraits – and how lovely do they look?

We even managed to convince the bridal party outdoors for the group shots too 🙂

And instead of confetti, Jemma & Chris decided on a bubble shot for their wedding day. Worked well too.

I gave the bride & groom a few moments alone, but as it was winter & light was fading fast, I dragged them out again before the speeches,

for a few more portraits outside the wonderful West Tower 🙂

PRE WEDDING | JEMMA & CHRIS | WEST TOWER | ORMSKIRK | JANUARY 14TH 2019

I’ve known Jemma for a few years now, so it was an absolute honour & a pleasure to be asked to shoot

her & her partner Chris’ up coming wedding.

With them both working different shifts in the airline industry, it was quite difficult to nail down a date where we were

all 3 available, but luckily, on the day we arranged, West Tower was available too, which was nice, as it gave me a

look at their gorgeous wedding venue 🙂
