CHARLOTTE & THOM | DEVONSHIRE ARMS | BOLTON ABBEY | SKIPTON | DECEMBER 17TH 2016

 

It was a cold and frosty morning when I arrived at The Devonshire Arms, for the wedding of Charlotte & Thom,

along with Mrs Vivienne Myers.

Some of the lads went for a pre wedding walk, so thought we’d capture this first 🙂

Then it was off into a much warmer climate to photograph the beautiful Charlotte & her bridesmaids & man! 😉

After they were all ready, we headed to the ceremony room 🙂

Then it was off outside for the group shots.

Bolton Abbey isnt too far away, so we took Charlotte & Thom there for their portrait pictures 🙂

Then back to the Devonshire Arms, for the wedding breakfast & speeches.

Right after the speeches we braced the cold once more, for some sparklers & evening photos.

Then it was time for cake cutting & a fabulous first dance.

It finished with a very very nice (I can contest to that!) hogroast! 🙂 Yummy

JEN & ANDY | THE MANSION | LEEDS | NOVEMBER 12TH 2016

This was my second wedding at the Mansion, Leeds, but my first on my own 🙂

It’s a lovely venue, situated in Roundhay Park.

It was a lot colder today, than the last time I photographed a wedding here, but as long as the rain stayed away – we’d be good! ha

I arrived early to meet & photograph Jen & her bridesmaids.

Once Andy arrived at The Mansion, I popped downstairs to grab a few shots of the groom 🙂

Back upstairs to see Jen looking amazing in her gorgeous wedding dress.

Back downstairs for the ceremony.

It was still dry when the ceremony had finished, so we headed outside for the group shots.

After the group shots, it was time to take the bride & groom around Roundhay Park for some shots of them two 🙂

Just before the wedding breakfast, we utilised the beautiful staircase for a shot of the lovely pair 🙂

The speeches.

Just before the cake cutting & first dance, whilst the dance floor was quite we had to get a shot in front of J&A 🙂

I was lucky enough to photograph a good friend of mine’s wedding earlier in the year – another photographer to be exact.

Her wedding, firstly made it into the pages of the Daily Mail & then to a full double page spread of Yorkshire Bride …..

Happy is an understatement on the last one!!

PRE WEDDING | CHARLOTTE & STE | CUERDEN VALLEY PARK | LEYLAND | OCTOBER 30TH 2016

Cuerden Valley is fast becoming my go to place for local pre wedding shoots, as come

winter, spring, summer or autumn, it always looks great 🙂 It is however becoming tricky to source new places for

pictures, but I think I managed to get some great shots of Charlotte & Ste today – It helped that it was a laugh a minute! 🙂

So today I travelled through rain & wind, to sunny (ish) Leeds, for the pre wedding shoot of Jen & Andy.

They’re getting married in a few weeks at The Mansion, which is in the grounds of Roundhay Park, so thought we’d

PAMELA & JASON | FARINGTON LODGE | LEYLAND | OCTOBER 1ST 2016

I must say, Farington Lodge always looks lovely in autumn, so I was glad the weather was playing ball

as I arrived, which made the lodge looks splendid 🙂

After taking a few shots of the gorgeous grounds, it was off inside to say hello to Pam & her bridesmaids 🙂

Just before the ceremony, I popped downstairs to grab a shot of Jason & his groomsmen.

As the weather was still, just, on our side, we headed straight outside after the ceremony, for the group shots.

Myself, Pam & Jason, then ventured around the grounds of Farington Lodge, to take a few pictures of the lovely couple.

It was then time for the speeches & the wedding brekkie 🙂

I’ve been to Farington Lodge a few times, since they added the Garden Pavilion, and always had the shot I wanted in mind,

well luckily, the conditions were just about perfect to pull it off @ Pam & Jason’s wedding 🙂

We finished the day, with the first dance & another quick shot outside.

AMANDA & DAVE | ST JOHN’S CHURCH | LEYLAND | BROOK HOUSE HOTEL | CHORLEY | SEPTEMBER 3RD 2016

I arrived at Amanda’s mum & dad’s house, and I must say the weather wasn’t brilliant, however, as to paraphrase the above,

which was coincidentally was wrote on the wall of Brook House Hotel – You’ve just gotta make the most of it & rock your

wedding anyway! Which we did!

With Dave nearby, we managed to nip round to see him & the groomsmen too 🙂

It was then time to drive just round the corner, to the local church, St John’s.

After the ceremony, It was another short drive to Brook House Hotel.

The rain was still coming down heavy, but Brook House was decorated so beautifully, it just didn’t matter 🙂

There was a small covering out the back, where we did what we could with the group shots –

must say though, I really do like the results.

Time fro the wedding breakfast, but first the speeches.

I was a little nervous at this point that we hadn’t got any images of Amanda & Dave together, so we ventured out

after the wedding breakfast – but after about 5 mins, the rain stopped anyway! 🙂

It was then time for the cake cutting & first dance.

PRE WEDDING | AMANDA & DAVE | CUERDEN VALLEY PARK | LEYLAND | AUGUST 13TH 2016

I’ve known Amanda since I was younger, as I use to hang around with her brother, but it was

still a pleasure when, at a local wedding fayre, they, Amanda & Dave, cam over to me, and basically booked me on the spot 🙂

Well, that was a few months back, and today was time for their pre wedding shoot.

We chose a local venue, my ‘local’, Cuerden Valley, and I always I love the results (so do Amanda & Dave btw!)

SARAH & ROSS | BEESTON MANOR | PRESTON | AUGUST 12TH 2016

I met with Sarah & Ross a few weeks back for their pre wedding shoot, and since then I’ve really been looking

forward to shoot my 1st wedding, theirs, at Beeston Manor 🙂

I arrived at the brides house first, where Sarah was enjoying the morning with her bridesmaids.

I left the girls in the trusty hands of my second shooter, Viv, to go and meet the Ross & his best man @ Beeston Manor.

The bride arrived in style 🙂

The ceremony was an emotional affair, well it was for Ross 😉

After the ceremony, the bride & groom went off for a quick drive, before we took them for some formals shots of the two of them,

followed by the group shots.

The speeches followed, and afterwards, we grabbed the bride and groom for some more formals 🙂

This great day, finished in the traditional way, with a cake cut & the wonderful first dance 🙂

TRACIE & ALAN | THE MARRIAGE ROOM | COLDSTREAM | SCOTLAND | AUGUST 11TH 2016

I’ve known Tracie for a while now, so although it was going to be a bit of a trek, I was honoured that she & Alan asked me to photograph

their big day 🙂

It was an early start for me, as its an 3 hour drive to Berwick upon Tweed, where I was meeting Tracie & her bridesmaid.

After the bridal prep, it was a 20 minute drive acroos the border, into bonny Scotland to meet Alan & his groomsmen,

in a pub next door to the Marriage Room.

A lovely traditional Celtic ceremony was followed by a quick jaunt to Henderson Park, which is just across the road 🙂

Then it was time, before the rains came, to grab a few shots of Tracie & Alan, before I headed home, as the reception was the day after 🙂
