DAN & MATT | PECKFORTON CASTLE | CHESHIRE | DECEMBER 30TH 2014

I was sat relaxing over the Christmas period, when I realised – Tomorrow’s the day I’m second shooting @ Peckforton Castle for Vivienne Edge!

It was an early start, with the sun just peaking through, but with a slight dusting of snow – Glorious day for a wedding 😉

I had met Dan & Matt, as I was lucky enough to be invited along to the pre wedding shoot, so knew this was going to be a good day!

After a great time doing the grooms prep, it was off for the gorgeous ceremony – Although the owl who was suppose to carry the rings didn’t play ball!

However, the doves were up for flying, so the dove release went without a hitch! 😉

We then had a little time before & after the groups, the the husbands & managed to grab some great shots around the grounds of Peckforton Castle.

The day for me finished just after the first dance, which, like the rest of the day was a lovely moment & an absolute pleasure to be a part of.

HELEN & PHIL | FARINGTON LODGE | LEYLAND | NOVEMBER 23RD 2014

Another weekend, another wedding, another glorious day in November 😉

This time it was a very very local venue, in fact just down the road, Farington Lodge, for the wedding of Helen & Phil 🙂

After the groups shots, I took Phil & Helen to one side to utilise the beautiful grounds of Farington Lodge.

Some brilliant speeches, followed a very a very nice 3 course meal. Very moving for all involved 😉

Phil & Helen wanted a couple more shots of themselves, in specific locations –

Namely a brilliantly lit tree on the grounds & a chaise-longue, which was just outside their room 🙂

After the first dance, It was my time to leave the lovely couple & all the guests to enjoy themselves for the rest of the evening,

but not be catching a shot of Farington Lodge lit up beautifully @ night 😉

STACEY & TONY | FERRARI’S | LONGRIDGE | NOVEMBER 15TH 2014

I was lucky enough a few months ago to photograph a good friend’s wedding and from that wedding I got the booking for the wedding of Stacey & Tony.

It was a crisp autumn morning when I arrived for the bridal prep of Stacey @ Ferrari’s in Longridge.

Spent a good few minutes with the lads after the bridal prep, then off for the ceremony 😉

Some gorgeous shots, whilst the sun was shining @ Ferrari’s – just! ha, with the bide & groom 😉

And the day finished with some great first dance images & some brilliant sparkler shots 😉

R BATTERSBY PHOTOGRAPHY | STUDIO

I may have been a little quiet on here & R Battersby Photography, but that doesn’t mean I’ve been busy doing nothing! 😉

Quite the opposite in fact, as at the start of the year, when I branched out from just purely weddings,

to photograph other areas,

I never expected it to take off as well as it has, so in the summer I decided – I need a studio! ha

I just needed someone I trusted to help build it! –

Luckily my uncle was free for a few weeks in October, so for the last few months – That’s what

I’ve been doing – converting a very messy garage, into a beautiful studio …. Here’s the proof!

PRE WEDDING | STACEY & TONY | WORDEN PARK | LEYLAND | AUGUST 31ST  2014

It was lovely meeting up again, after our initial chat a few months ago, for Stacey & Tony’s pre wedding shoot, and also,

for once, I didn’t have to travel far, as the location was a park on my doorstep! 😉

When I arrived, the sun was shining & the circus was in town! Also, perhaps more importantly, and I hope she’ll not mind

me saying, but Stacey was a little nervous! However, we had a walk around talking a few shots here & there & by the end – see the last shot!,

you can see that’s she’s relaxed – Just what a pre wedding shoot is all about 😉

CHARLOTTE & JAMIE | THE STABLES | HIGH MELTON |  JULY 26th 2014

Today’s wedding at The Stables in High Melton, was another wedding with Viv Edge – This time I again was the second shooter.

It’s a good job we work so well together! – Not that we would have had any problems at this wedding, as not only was the sun shining –

Again! (Must be Viv!) ha, but Charlotte & Jamie were just an amazing couple.

I arrived at the Stables, before Jamie was due to arrive in his sporty wedding car. It had been decorated beautifully,

as you can see below, with so many beautiful, intimate touches.

Charlotte looked beautiful as she arrived in another great wedding car – I love the shared moments with dad just before the ceremony too 😉

The ceremony was held in St James’ church, which is a stones throw, literally, from the Stables.

After the ceremony, some great group shots & off to spend some time with the bride & groom.

We had loads of time during the day with the bride & groom, but even so, managed to capture some great moments of the wedding party too!

The balloon release was brilliant to photograph! 😉

All was finished with a quick shot at sunset 🙂

PRE WEDDING | DAN & MATT | PECKFORTON CASTLE | CHESHIRE | JULY 20TH 2014

I was invited, a few months back to be the 2nd shooter for Miss Vivienne Edge (again!!)

at the wedding of Matt & Dan at this gorgeous venue, Peckforton Castle.

So when she asked if I’d like to come along to the pre wedding shoot @ the same venue – I jumped at the chance!

Amazing venue, brilliant couple & after these lovely pics, we’ve both got loads of ideas & plans for the ‘big’ day 😉

CHARLIE & MIKE | MYTTON FOLD | BLACKBURN | JULY 13TH 2014

Today I was at Mytton Fold, this time for the actual wedding day of Mike & Charlie.

Last time I was here, it was for the pre wedding shoot & the sun was shining – luckily, as it was today 😉

I met Mike & Charlie, through a wedding I shot at the start of the year – so the pressure was on to provide the best – As usual mind! ha

Luckily, Ive been second shooting for a wonderful photography recently, Vivienne Edge, so I asked her along to help & she was more than happy to –

Brill 😉

I always love shooting with Viv, as we both work very well together – as I was hanging at the back, I knew everything would run smoothly

at the front of the ceremony -as you can see from the images below 😉

The sun continued to shine, so after the ceremony we headed outside to make the most of the wonderful grounds of Mytton Fold,

not only for the group shots, but for the bride & groom too 😉

Beautiful speeches followed the wedding breakfast & as it was gorgeous weather everyone headed outside again –

where we managed to grab some great candid shots of a brilliant wedding party.

Andy – one of the Ushers, really enjoyed his ordered doughnut, just before the first dance! ha 😉

The day finished by the best man pulling out some cigars for the ‘lads’, so thought I’d grab a few shots before leaving.

PRE WEDDING | CHARLIE & MIKE | MYTTON FOLD | BLACKBURN | JUNE 1ST 2014

Mike is good friends with Stu, who’s wedding I shot a few months back now, but he had already booked me, on the strength of seeing Stu & Emma’s

pre wedding shoot, last November 🙂

Mike & Charlie are getting married @ Mytton Fold in Blackburn & we were lucky enough, that on the day we had planned the pre wedding shoot, that

this lovely little venue was free, so we decided to do it there!

The sun was out again, which meant we could use the bandstand too, where hopefully in just over a months time,

Mike & Charlie will get the chance to say ‘I Do’ 😉
